We are having another baby!!!!

So 2 weeks ago Zach was teasing me because I had asked him the same question about 5 times. Then when he had to dump out his coffee because I couldn't be in the car with it he got even more suspicious. That was Sunday the 21st of October. During the service we actually prayed together that God would bless us with another little one in the next months. When we got home Zach teasingly told me to go take a test. I dug around the bathroom and found one. It didn't want to work though so I left it on the bathroom counter to deal with later. When I came back in the room it said I was pregnant. I came out and told Zach to go buy another test, this can't be right. After 2 more tests I accepted that I had to be pregnant. Don't get me wrong I am totally excited but a little in shock.

I kind of figured I might be 4-6 weeks along. A week later I had an ultra sound done to get a due date and found out I was actually 8.5 weeks along. So as of tomorrow we will be 10 weeks along. A quarter of the way there. I can't believe it. The ultra sound technician called the baby peanut, that has kind of stuck, so Peanut is due on June 6.

Thus far the pregnancy has been much easier than the last one. I have only gotten sick 3 times compared to my 3 times a day last time and am only dealing with total exhaustion, which I suppose is to be expected with a 12 month old in tow.

My fix it men

We were working on packing away some of Sammy's mini baby toys, like his swing. So Zach decided he was going to take it apart. Samuel was fascinated with the screwdriver and kept grabbing ahold of it while Zach was using it. So Zach showed Sammy how to do it. Like father like son. I also wanted to document so I don't forget his total obsession with Microwaves. He spots it everywhere we go the moment we enter the room and points at it excitedly saying "My, My". I have no idea how he figured it out. Because it is not like his food comes out of the microwave. It does occasionally now but it certainly didn't when the obsession started. Also my moms is white and hangs from the cupboards and ours is red and sits on the counter. I have no idea how he knew that it was the same thing.

He also loves doors right now. He sits there and swings the door open, closed, open closed, for long periods at a time.

I just might die of starvation

Ok so I went to this natural path to see if she could figure out the digestive problems I have been having since my gallbladder removal. It was the most expensive Doctors appointment I have ever had. (other than giving birth of course) So of course I want to follow through on what she is telling me to do. Because I have to make it worth it. She has pretty much eliminated everything from my diet. I sure won't have any trouble losing weight on this diet because I can pretty much eat nothing . Ok, mom says I have to be positive and look at what I can eat not what I can't eat. So here goes. I can eat:
Chicken, Veal, Butter (1/2 tsp), Buttermilk, Hard Cheese (unprocessed), Ghee-Clarif. Butter (if anyone knows what that is let me know), Yoghurt (plain, fat free), Goat Yoghurt & Cheese (Yuck), Carp (?), Salmon (wild), Halibut (wild), Snapper, Sole, Banana, Blueberry, Pear (cooked), Papaya (Yuck), Olive Oil (1/2tsp)
All of the following only cooked: Cauliflower, Green Bean, Peas, Potato, Garlic, Carrot, Bellpeppers, Parsley, Celery Root, Asparagus, Mushrooms, Spinach, Chards, Beet Tops, Tomato, White Cabbage, Onion, Sweet Potato, Eggplant, Oats, Corn, Rice, Rye, Buckwheat, Barley, Wheat, Spelt, Kamut, Brewer's Yeast, Baker's Yeast
Black & Green Tea (Yuck), Splenda (Yuck)
The following herbs and spices only fresh: Anise, Basil, Curry, Marjorim, Nutmeg, Cloves, Peppermint, Rosemary, Tumeric, Thyme, Juniper, Cinammon

And that is all folks. Nothing other than those things am I allowed to eat. I mean I get to eat all of these things. Please pray for me. I think I might die.

Gobble up Hungry Hippo

Today Samuel figured out how to walk behind his push toy. It was so cute. He was so completely proud of himself.

First Post

I thought it might be fun to be able to share what is going on with friends and family. If you don't want to read it, no prob. I just thought this would be a fun way to share some of my thoughts, experiences and prayer requests.

To catch everyone up, Zach and I are living in Lynden WA right now with our son Samuel. It is a great place to live although I have a love hate relationship with the town. I love the comunity and people and small town feel and yet I hate how small the world feels here. There is so much more to see out there.

Zach is working at Cowden Gravel & Ready Mix while he continues to work on getting into the State Patrol. I am not a big fan of the work schedule he has with this job but am definitly grateful that it is paying the bills while we keep working towards our goal.

I have the awsome privelege of being a stay at home mom (SAHM). I love watching Samuel grow and develop, though we have our moments of frustration. Like today when he decided he like the toast better than the grapes, which he previously loved. He picked up the grape, looked me in the eye and threw it on the floor. What do you do about that. Half of me wanted to crack up laughing, though that was probably not the wisest reaction.

Samuel is now mobile and into everything. He amazes me every day. Yesterday he had his brush and I told him to brush his hair. And he did it. I have never shown him how or told him where his hair is for that matter. I use the comb when I do his hair. How did he know how to do this. He blows me a way sometimes.
